Something the person cared about alot or was known for. Examples being Leon’s hat, Limbo’s tire iron, and Anderson’s militia insignia. As a Mercenary, Deacon often takes out ambush camps, rippers, and even takes on missions to rescue camp members, who disappeared often attacked by marauders. Although he will kill anyone, who gets in his way, he still has a code. He doesn’t kill women, unless he has a reason to do so. Boozer tells him that one day, that code will get him killed.
